Soap simply made, with natural ingredients

Casrik Soap Co. is making soap by hand and with love in beautiful rural Pennsylvania.

Our aim is to create simple, robust soap bars that are a pleasure to use. Our soapmaking method is straightforward and we like to keep our ingredients as natural as we can, imparting color and texture to our bars with herbs, spices, and botanicals, and incorporating essential oils for their scent and plant-based properties. We make soap in small batches, and cut every bar by hand. This means that no two are exactly alike; corners are not always quite square, and the texture of the surface of our bars can vary from batch to batch depending upon the consistency at which the soap is poured into the mold. Sometimes the tops are level and smooth; sometimes they are ridged from the swirls of the spatula. Sometimes a cut is a little bit crooked. One batch might be a shade lighter or darker than the next. With all of that said, we craft our soap with care and love, and we take our time. We strive to produce quality bars that hold up well, are kind to skin, and quietly brighten up the routine of cleaning up.

Should you be feeling curious, here’s a little bit about how we make our soap, using the cold process method.

We’re a father-daughter duo; Amy makes soap, and Howard tirelessly finds, takes, and delivers orders. In our free time, we enjoy partying with Springer Spaniels Virginia and Beauchene, our family, and friends.

Virginia, in no big rush for soap, poses with her brother.

Howard and Amy have been working together for a pretty long time. Here, they turn their attention to a project in the mid-eighties.
